Join with your Sacramento Community and with people all over the world this December to support human rights and save lives.

We wrote over 140 letters at our Dec. 9th in-person event. Now, you can write letters and/or emails from home and mail the letters out yourself.

Write letters or emails from home to support the following people.

You can:
(1) Write out sample letter with a pen, and mail it (impactful) OR
(2) print out the sample letter, sign, and mail it, AND/OR
(3) email the government official.
- Postage is required on letters. All the letters in this action go to U.S. addresses.

- If you have no envelopes or stamps at home, you can request them.

In Person Write for Rights Sacramento
Date/Time: Tuesday December 9, 2025
WRITE FOR RIGHTS ON HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
Drop in between 3:00 – 6:00 PM
Place: Sierra 2 Center, Room 9.
2791 24th Street, Sacramento (where 24th St meets 4th Ave in Curtis Park)

What we will do:
We will join with thousands of people around the world who are taking part in the world’s largest write-a-thon, Write for Rights.
Advocacy:
We will write to government officials to pressure them to release people jailed unfairly and encourage them to stop harassing human rights defenders.
Solidarity:
We will also have opportunities to send cards to let the victims (or their families) know that we are thinking of them!
What is provided:
No prior knowledge or skills is required; all materials and instructions will be supplied including sample letters., info on cases and addresses. Hot drinks and snacks will also be provided at this free event.
