The major health impacts of climate change will include greater risk of injury and death due to intense heatwaves and fires; increased risk of malnutrition as a result of diminished food production; and increased risks of food- and water-borne diseases. And those who live in poorer areas often have polluting industries located nearby, causing long-term health issues. More on Climate Change and Health
Right to water –We all have the right to safe water and to sanitation that ensures we stay healthy. Right to shelter – We all have a right to an adequate adequate housing for ourselves and our families. However, climate change threatens our right to housing. Extreme weather events like floods, drought and wildfires are already destroying people’s homes, leaving millions of them displaced.
